Statement of Faith

We Believe in:

Bible infallibility

The Bible is the only inspired, infallible, and authoritative written work of God. (2 Tim 3:15-17; 1 Thess 2:13; 2 Peter 1:21)

One God, three persons

There is one God, eternally existent in three persons: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. (Deut. 6:4; Isa 43:10,11; Matt 28:19, Luke 3:22)

Jesus Christ

We believe...

1.       In His deity (John 1:1; Phil 2:5,6)

2.       In His virgin birth (Luke 1:26-38)

3.       In His sinless life (Heb 7:26)

4.       In His Miracles (Acts 2:22)

5.       In His atoning death (1 Cor 15:3)

6.       In His bodily resurrection from the dead (Matt 28:6; Luke 24:39)

7.      In His exaltation to the right hand of God (Acts 1:9-11; 2:33; Phil 2:9-11)

The Fall of Man

God looked on all that He created and said it was good. However, man by voluntary transgression fell and incurred physical and spiritual death, which is separation from God. (Gen 1:26-27; 30-31; 2:16-17; 24-25;3:6-7; Rom 5:12-20)

Cleansing from Sin and Regeneration by the Holy Spirit

The only means of being cleansed from sin is through one's repentance and faith in the precious blood of Christ (Luke 24:47; John 3:3; Acts 2:36-39, 20:21; Rom 10:13-15; Eph 2:8; Titus 2:11, 3:5-7) Regeneration by the Holy Spirit is absolutely essential for personal salvation. (Gal 4:6)

Filling of the Holy Spirit

The filling of the Holy Spirit is given to believers by the grace of God, to believers who ask for it, and through prayer. (Joel 2:28-29; Luke 24:49; Acts 1:4-5, 8: 2:4;8:14-17)The baptism of believers in the Holy Spirit is witnessed by the physical sign, the gift of speaking in other tongues as the Spirit enabled them, and other gifts as the Holy Spirit of God determines. (Acts 2:4, 2:36-39,6:8, 8:14-17, 10:44-46; 1 Cor 12:4-11, 28-30, 14:1-34)

Sanctifying Power of the Holy Spirit

We believe in the sanctifying power of the Holy Spirit whose indwelling enables Christians to live a holy life. (John 17:17,19; Rom 15:16; 1 Cor 6:11; 2 Thess 2:13; 1 Pet 1:2)

Healing, through the redemptive work of Christ on the cross, is a demonstration of God's power, grace, and mercy in a fallen world. (Isa 53:4-5; Matt 8:16, 17; James 5: 14-16)

The Rapture of the Church

We believe in the rapture of the Church at Christ's return when the dead in Christ will rise first, then those who are alive at His coming - both will meet the Lord in the air and shall always be with the Lord. (Rom 8:23; 1 Thess 4:16, 17; I Cor 15:51,52)

The Millennial Reign of Christ

The second coming of Christ includes the rapture of the saints, which is our blessed hope, followed by the visible return of Christ with His saints to reign on the earth for 1000 years (Zech 14:5; Matt 24:27,30-31; Titus 2:13; Rev 1:7,19:11-14, 20:1-6). This millennial reign will bring the salvation of the nation of Israel (Ezek 37:21 -28; Zeph 3:19-20; Rom 11:25-27) and the establishment of universal peace (Isa 11:6-9; Ps 72:3-8; Mic 4:3-4).

The dead will be raised and judged according to their works. Those not found in the book of life together with the devil and his angels, the beast and the false prophets, will be given everlasting punishment, which is the second death. And according to the Lord's promise, there will be a new heaven and earth where the righteous will dwell. (Matt 25:46; Rev 19:20; Rev 20:1-15, 21:708)

The Lord's Supper

The Lord's Supper is observed regularly to remember our Lord Jesus and the new covenant - His body was broken for us; His blood was shed for us (Luke 22:19-20; I Cor 11:23-26).
